After a long series of questionable decisions concerning some of their established franchises, it’s refreshing to see Capcom fostering new intellectual properties. Yesterday at Gamescom they showed their progress on one of them, a third-person action title called Remember Me, in trailer form. Known as Adrift when it was last presented, Remember Me will follow a woman named Nilin who works as an “elite memory hunter” in a setting where theft and manipulation of memories has become commonplace. Cue the Inception sound.
Capcom is working with French studio Dontrod Entertainment on the project, which will be available on Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC at an as-yet undisclosed date.
