Those of you waiting out the next iteration of the Nintendo 3DS before committing on a purchase should probably make your calls now, because according to Shigeru Miyamoto there likely won't be another one. In an interview with IGN, Miyamoto dispelled the rumors of a plus-sized 3DS in the same vein as the DSi XL, instead claiming that Nintendo is looking into a successor to its current handheld.

When news reached us that Sega would be tightening its belt and focusing more on its big name franchises we were afraid that the quirky, cartoony platformer/shooter Hell Yeah! Nintendo made a big show of third-party support for the Wii U at E3, with Ubisoft playing a big role in demonstrating outside interest in developing software for the new system. However, reports seem to indicate that Ubisoft is seriously considering taking a few of their purportedly Wii U-exclusive titles multiplatform, and while this doesn't exactly equate to withdrawal of support for Nintendo it would definitely weaken the already shaky foothold they have on trying to win back the traditional gaming audience.

The persistent, planet-spanning free-to-play FPS has garnered a lot of attention for Sony in the last few months, and with devs on the show floor promising closed beta testing coming soon appetites are only increasing.
